Engen LLC has completed the construction of a 35 kV overhead power line and 35/6 kV substation for the Bashzoloto company

A 35 kV overhead power line and 35/6 kV substation project has been implemented at the Bashzoloto company. The project provided for the supply and installation of a full range of materials, equipment and substation systems, including Russian-made supporting steel structures and a modular building of indoor switchgear. The Vishnevskiy mine, for which the substation was built, is located in the Khaibullinskiy District of the Republic of Bashkortostan.

“The substation was built from scratch, starting with earthwork, construction of the foundation and installation of steel structures. Some issues arose during the construction due to weather conditions and difficult access to the construction site. Thus, in winter, it was necessary to clear the roads,” said Artemiy Nikolaev, Technical Director of the Engen LLC, “however, our specialists successfully completed the tasks set within the established deadlines.

Engen LLC supplied, installed and commissioned a full range of power equipment, including indoor switchgear (IS), buildings with automated process control systems (APCS) and lighting towers with a mobile crown that can be lowered to the ground level for easy maintenance and quick repairs. At present, the substation and overhead power line have fully accommodated the load and have been put into operation.

“The work was carried out in accordance with technical requirements and regulatory documentation. All substation equipment is covered by an extended warranty for 5 years from the date of commissioning of the facility,” added Artemiy Nikolaev.
